Deb Tyrrell

Deb Tyrrell is a seasoned strategic partner in Human Resources consulting with more than 35 years of experience. As Co-Founder and Owner of Innovative People Solutions, a project-based HR consulting firm, Deb works closely with organizational leaders to build strong, trust-based partnerships and to design thoughtful, sustainable policies, programs, and systems that support organizational effectiveness and maximize human potential.

For the past 25 years, Deb has worked exclusively in academic and mission-driven environments, partnering with leadership to foster safe, healthy, and productive workplaces for all members of the community. She previously served for more than 14 years as Director of Human Resources at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School (BB&N), where she oversaw all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and separations. Deb also served on the Senior Leadership Team at New England Law | Boston, collaborating with the Dean and senior administrators on employee relations, compliance, professional development, and training initiatives.

Deb’s current engagements include providing comprehensive Human Resources consulting support to Kingsley Montessori School, an independent day school serving Toddler through Grade 6 in Boston’s Back Bay; the USS Constitution Museum in Charlestown, Massachusetts; and The Tower School, an independent day school serving Beginners through Grade 8.

Deb lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts with her husband, their two children, two dogs, and a cat.
